Brand refresh
At York CVS, I support organisation-wide communications, helping to create clear, accessible and engaging content across print, digital and social platforms. My work includes designing branded materials, writing newsletters and press releases, website maintenance and design, producing photography and video, and supporting events. I also led the York CVS brand refresh, developing new guidelines and templates to ensure consistency across all projects.
Projects
As well as my wider communications work at York CVS, I support our managed projects to communicate their messages in clear, accessible and engaging ways too. This often involves creating outreach materials, developing tailored branding and templates, providing event support and communications framework. Each project has its own distinct style, while still gently reflecting the York CVS brand.
Consultancy
Helping local VCSE groups strengthen their social media, outreach and communication so they can share their important messages with confidence.

Local publications
Your local link magazine
A major part of my design career was spent at Your Local Link, where I worked across several monthly publications. My role included designing editorial layouts and adverts, preparing artwork for print, sourcing imagery, managing workloads, updating websites and supporting social media content. I regularly balanced multiple deadlines, collaborating across departments to ensure each magazine went to print on time and to a high standard.
York Learning
Working with City of York Council on the Learning for Everyone brochure was a real highlight. I helped plan timelines, gather content and shape design ideas, bringing the team’s thoughts together into an accessible educational listing publication.
York Wedding Suppliers
I became part of a voluntary group of wedding providers, my niche was designing bespoke wedding stationery. Whilst being part of the group I also designed several pieces of marketing material including the brochure displayed.
Wedding Stationery
For several years, as a side business, I ran Blush Creations a wedding stationery business and had the pleasure to work with many different couples to create their perfect set of stationery for one of the biggest days of their lives.
